CC 13 St. Paul's Church of England and School 1843

The last church to be built was St. Paul's on Church Hill. This was designed by William Railton, who also designed Beaumanor Hall in Woodhouse, and the most famous, Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square, London. It was consecrated in 1837. The picture is from a woodcut dated 1843, showing it's relationship to the new school. It is believed that the house on the right was for the curate. If anyone knows better please contact us.
