LF 001
The earliest photograph available of the village stores. Probably about or just before 1904. Note that there is no bay window to the right of the entrance, but there is a low wall with iron railings. An owners name does not appear, while Sunlight Soap and Barrs Tea are advertised. The weather must have been very wet as floods can be seen pouring down Maplewell Road and Church Hill.
We have now added quite a few old photographs of the shop at the centre of our village. Please come back shortly as we hope to show you lots more photographs taken over the years. If you have any old photographs of Woodhouse Eaves you would like to add, just use the "Contact Us" link on the top right of the screen.
