P07 Pharmacy
A villager, Alf Preston, had a chemist shop in Loughborough. At a date as yet unknown, due to 'progress' the shop was closed, and Alf transferred the business to the old bakery in Woodhouse Eaves. He also took the entire front of the shop from Loughborough, and had it re-erected to form the new pharmacy that we are now familiar with. He also added the small ex-butchers to the new shop. It is now named 'OAKWOOD PHARMACY'.
We hope to add a lot more photographs showing how the Village Pharmacy has changed over the years since its origins as a bakery. If you have any photographs you would like to add please us the contact us link at the top right of this page to let us know and we will help you add them.
