A card dated 1920 shows that the single bay window has become a double extension, probably using the original low wall as the base. A small handcart is in the entrance, delivering goods or collecting perhaps? Country Life cigarettes, Cadburys and Rowntrees are advertised. Note the Union flag flying on Church Hill.
We have now added quite a few old photographs of the shop at the centre of our village. Please come back shortly as we hope to show you lots more photographs taken over the years. If you have any old photographs of Woodhouse Eaves you would like to add, just use the "Contact Us" link on the top right of the screen.
